Connected Reflections is a solitary space designed for reflection and exploration, created by Mel (Melisa Maria Potra, 1998) and developed for virtual reality using Unity (a real-time 3D development platform for creating games and simulations). Access to the space is facilitated through Spatial, an immersive social platform that allows users to create and participate in real-time immersive experiences, available on web, mobile, and VR. By searching for "Mirror Maze" within Spatial, users begin their journey into Connected Reflections, exploring a labyrinthine space with mirrored walls before passing through a portal that leads to Everyone Is Always Connected, a place set in the cosmic void. The experience is accompanied by music from Tander (Simone Giudice, 1996), an experimental musician, drawn from his album Identityless.
Author
Multimedia artist (1998, Romania), graduated in Multimedia and Technological Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
The approach to art began with painting, then moving on to illustration, and during the training in New Technologies for Art the passion for New Media was born.
The research in the works draws on underground culture, the countercurrent and technological control, of the coexistence between the self as a living being and the numerical self in the digital world.
